The Silence

Did you like A Quiet Place? You know, the movie with the monsters that would come and get you if you made noise? Yeah? Then I think you’ll like The Silence. It has the same concept – monsters that attack when you make noise, but it’s not the same. Not even close.

Honestly, if I’m comparing the two movies, I like The Silence a lot better. For one, the plot makes more sense. They’re trying to get away, not just hunkering down and hoping for the best as I recall them doing in A Quiet Place. There’s also a lot more people involved. You actually see other people, not just the family that you’re following around. You even get a creepy cult to spice things up.

It was extremely well done. I give huge kudos to the people handling the CGI for this movie because it is excellent. The effects are really awesome looking1you actually get to see the creatures responsible for the chaos and very interesting.

While there are a couple of places that I couldn’t understand exactly how things worked2moving through a metal pipe soundlessly, finding a pharmacy that hadn’t been completely ransacked and pillaged, it didn’t detract at all from the movie experience. They were just a couple of odd blips and that was that.

If you’re looking for more of a sci-fi/horror combo and you liked A Quiet Place, I honestly think you’ll love The Silence. I gave it 4 stars because it’s a damn good movie, even if it does copy A Quiet Place on a few counts.
