I know, it’s almost August and this should have been out a while ago, but since I saw someone else (Hi Kerri!!) do theirs this late, I figured I could too! I’d commented on Kerri’s post that I was too lazy to go check Goodreads, but decided to stop being a lazy twit and do it! LOL
I read books this month… here’s the run down.
Books Read
Blending Chords by Amy Kaybach – I’m a friend of Amy’s and I handle the behind-the-scenes bits for her website, but that doesn’t mean I’m biased about her books. Remember – not a big reader of romance novels, so it says a lot that I’m so enthralled with this series. Check out my review for my rating.
The Sacrifice of Lester Yates by Robin Yocum – It took me a long time to read this book and clear it from my NetGalley cue, but I was super glad I read it instead of DNFing it like I’d originally planned! Check out my review for my rating.
Everyday Monsters by Travis Betz – This book was a lot cooler and a lot better than I’d originally expected from the first few pages. I was really glad I took the time to actually read it! Check out my review for my rating.
Out of Crisis by Richard Caldwell – I love a good political thriller and this one, while it takes a bit to get used to flipping between time periods and points of view, is a really great one. Check my review for my rating.
The Deep by Nick Cutter – Recommended to me by one of the people I follow on TikTok, I was loving this book until a certain point happened. After that I kind of lost my trust in the book and the author. Check my review to see why and what I rated it.
Never Say Never by Justine Manzano – It took me a long time to actually read this – again, not a big romance reader – but I have to say it was super cute, super funny, and I ended up loving it. Check my review for my rating.
Protecting His Pregnant Partner by Leslie North – I’d read another book in this trilogy a while back and loved it, so when I saw this one on NetGalley, I knew I had to take the opportunity to read it. I like Leslie’s writing style, so it was a lot of fun to read this one. Check my review for my rating.
Pick of the Month
Blending Chords by Amy Kaybach – First, this book got me out of another reading slump. Second, the book is just amazing. That’s pretty much all I have to say about that.
